Edible Wild Mushroom Foraging

In this 2-hour wild mushroom foraging course, Ben Grafton will lead you into the enchanting world of wild edible mushrooms.

For over 30 years Ben has been mushroom foraging in Devon and Dorset, and what started as a hobby has now become an obsession for him!

Ben is extremely meticulous about the importance of identifying wild mushrooms correctly. So you are in good hands.

Please Note: The exciting thing about mushroom hunting is that you never quite know what you’ll discover. Sometimes you may come home with a large glut of edible mushrooms, and at other times you may return empty handed. In Nature there are no guarantees!

“I found the mushroom foraging course very informative and had a very enjoyable time. It expanded my knowledge of fungi incredibly and I now feel a lot more confident about what I can and should not pick. The information provided by Ben & Robin was first rate and showed an enviable and in-depth knowledge of our landscape and the plants to be found within it. I will definitely be booking more courses in the future, I cannot recommend them enough. Superb. My shrooms are now drying ready to make some stock, puffball was eaten on the way home, my senses have been re-awakened – especially my sense of smell – I hadn’t realised how much I didn’t use it!” – Pip Martin

“We really enjoyed the mushroom forage, it was such a beautiful day. I thought you and Ben were both very knowledgeable and I know my sister Mandy, Lynne and I would be interested to join you again on a forage walk. I have been wanting to cook with nettles for ages and I was really interested in what you had to say about them” – Katie Collins

“We really enjoyed the walk, and came away feeling we had gained a lot from the experience. We are now going to be a little more adventurous in our fungi eating, as we feel a little more confident to experiment with more than ceps.” – Mike & Trudy
